True, and some settings do not allow for participation. My group was a prayer meeting of 15 to 20 people. It now ranges from 30-35, so it's still pretty intimate. What helps too, is that this group is a 30/70 mix of print learners and oral learners.

Needed: Text on Narrative-Based Preaching for/to Oral Communicators

I am contemplating a book (booklet) to attempt to collect my thoughts and experiences on narrative-based preaching. One of the issues has been what to call it. Narrative Preaching as used here in the U.S. has too much baggage. Story-based preaching appears to sound too "lightweight" for some because of the word "story" which implies more entertainment than in-depth teaching. In cooperation with the Church Starting Network I have added a linked website www.Bible-Storying.com to post Bible Storying-related articles and current copies of the Bible Storying Newsletter.
